What can a business show on Mattr?

Menus, promotions, sales dashboards, internal updates, factory information, event content and other approved material. The aim is to make Mattr useful as a signage platform in its own right. The core plan also participates in the advertising network, while Premium can remain advertising-free.

Do businesses have to show adverts?

It depends on the plan. The £99 one-off Mattr plan includes agreed participation in the advertising network. Mattr Premium makes advertising completely optional.

What is the difference between Mattr and Premium?

Mattr costs £99 once per screen and £0/month thereafter, with network participation included and a 60% screen-owner share of eligible advertising revenue. Premium costs £14.99 per screen/month, adds advanced features, makes advertising optional and pays a 70% screen-owner share when advertising is enabled.

Can I control which adverts appear?

Mattr screen owners can apply rules around eligible inventory, times, categories and competitors. Premium screen owners also control whether advertising is enabled at all.

Can I manage multiple locations?

Yes. Mattr is designed for one screen, one location or a wider estate, with central visibility across connected screens.

How do advertiser campaigns work?

Advertisers choose suitable locations, upload creative, set dates and budgets, review the campaign and then track verified advertising delivery through the platform.

Do advertisers pay a subscription?

No. Advertiser accounts are free. Campaign spend is separate and campaigns currently start from £50.

Can I choose specific venue types or locations?

Yes. The marketplace is being designed around location, venue type and the actual advertising opportunity available on each participating screen.

Can Mattr help with creative?

Yes. Mattr can support screen-ready creative as a managed service. The self-service platform is also designed to accept existing suitable creative.

Do you offer managed campaigns?

Yes. Managed Campaigns are for advertisers that want help choosing locations, preparing the campaign and handling delivery. The current pricing model is a 15% management fee with a £199 minimum.

What is the Mattr Player?

The Mattr Player is the Android-based device that connects a compatible screen to the Mattr platform so content can be published and the screen can be managed remotely.

Is the Mattr Player included?

Yes. The Player is included in the £99 one-off Mattr plan. Premium has no upfront Player charge and includes the Player with the active subscription, subject to the order terms.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

The player experience is being designed around reliable playback and sensible fallback behaviour. Final offline behaviour will be documented once the production player software and hardware specification are locked.

Which screen specifications are supported?

Final compatibility requirements will be published with the production hardware specification. Mattr will not claim ports, resolutions or connectivity standards until the shipping hardware is confirmed.

How much does Mattr cost?

Mattr costs £99 once per screen, including the Player and core platform, then £0/month. The screen makes agreed suitable advertising inventory available to the Mattr network.

How much is Mattr Premium?

Premium is £14.99 per screen/month with no upfront Player charge. The monthly option has a 3-month initial commitment and then becomes rolling. Annual payment receives 10% off, making the current annual price £161.89 per screen/year.

How much does advertising cost?

Advertiser accounts are free and campaigns start from £50. The actual campaign price depends on the screens, venue types, schedule and verified advertising delivery selected.

How is advertising revenue shared?

Mattr plan screen owners keep 60% of eligible advertising media revenue. Premium screen owners keep 70% when they choose to enable advertising. Different written commercial agreements can override these standard shares.

What does a verified play mean?

A verified play is evidence that an approved creative was delivered and rendered through the Mattr player at the relevant screen. It is not the same thing as proving one individual person viewed the advert.

Does Mattr report impressions?

Mattr can show audience estimates where appropriate, but recorded plays, screen-health evidence and estimated audience exposure should remain clearly separated.

What can a screen owner see in reporting?

The product direction includes screen status, content delivery, advertising delivery and eligible revenue information, with the exact reporting set finalised as the platform moves into production.
